The Monzie

Corryard purchased the Old South Church in Crieff in April 2012 and in January 2014 obtained detailed planning permission to convert the Church into a boutique hotel and Spa, called The Monzie.

Work is on-going, and we plan to open the doors to guests in 2016. The Monzie will operate as an exclusive hotel, where a person, group or company book the entire building for their own use, be that for a party, wedding or conference. There will be 9 bedrooms, and functional space for upto 100 guests.

We are passionate about preserving the special architectural and historic features of the Church. The Church is a local landmark building dating from 1882, it has the highest Listed building protection (A listed) from Historic Scotland, with a wealth of architectural and historic features.

The requirement to retain and restore existing features wherever appropriate is a key objective of the development and we aim to sensitively balance the extent of physical and aesthetic intervention with the realistic requirements of an efficient and economical business model.
